Another good book by the author of Uncle Tom's Cabin. Fortunately, this one didn't make people want to throw a book at a wall in anger like the other one.
Like other older books, it has a nice slow move, which is amazing. Why rush a great story? Truthfully, her other book was better. I'm not too much of a fan of romance, with the exception of Jane Austen's stories and the stories of the Bronte sisters.
It starts with two people- Moses and Mara grew up together, then the romance. Mara loved Moses and, of course, he doesn't realize it yet, then eventually does. I won't spoil the ending for you in case you might read it someday.
Give it a read sometime! And also, check out the other book I mentioned.
